Welcome to the 4B family. My name is Ms Murchison and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. I am looking forward to getting to know your child as the year goes on. It is my hope that your child will have a positive growing and learning experience in 4B.
The following are a few things you should be aware of as we start the new school year.
On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday students will be involved in Health and Physical Education. On those days students are asked to wear their PE uniform along with proper running shoes.
The day’s homework will be written on our class Weebly. The site can be found on the internet @ http://msmurchison4b.weebly.com. Important notices that pertain to all students in the class will also be posted on this site. Parents, if you would like to write me a note you may send one to school with your child OR you may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I check my email in the morning and at the end of the day. Please check that your child has completed all of his or her work on a daily basis. If for some reason your child is unable to finish the assigned homework, please write a note explaining why. This will be accepted.
For homework your child may have to read an English book for a period of time. A Reading Log will help to keep track of all that your child is reading. Your child should fill in the date and the title of the book being read. They will be expected to use a dictionary from home to look up any words that they are unfamiliar with. Later in the year, a short summary explaining what the book is about will be expected.
(Your child may read a book from home or a book borrowed from the classroom.)
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at the school or by email (email@example.com). I look forward to meeting you soon.
